Welcome to Year 6
Dismissal Time
Years 1 - 6 dismissal time is 3:30pm.
What You Will Need in Year 6
Reading Books: Your child will need to bring their reading book and reading record to school every day. You are encouraged to read with your child every day and to sign their reading record.
Homework: Children are set weekly online maths and English homework. They are also expected to visit the Times Tables Rock Stars website three times a week in order to practise their times tables. Children arriving in year 6 are expected to know all of their times tables from 2 - 12. It is important that children continue to practise their times tables on a daily basis in order to maintain this knowledge.

Imperial War Museum Trip
Year 6 had a fascinating trip to the Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays. They have been learning about WW2 this half term so they enjoyed having the opportunity to explore the museum, take notes and speak to veterans about their real-life experiences. Some of the children were even able to speak to a WW2 evacuee who shared her experience with them and answered questions. What an interesting trip!
